Everclear at CWRU

March 27, 2001-G. Love & Special Sauce is playing in Adelbert Gym at Case Western Reserve University. Sweet campus act A Little To The Left is the opener.

I thought it was pretty cool that G. Love was coming to Case. Still, I only knew the band from "I-76" a few years back, which Matt Dudek and I had been really into.

A Little To The Left is an excellent name for a band. They're cool too, even though we missed most of their set. I was standing around outside with Duff and Rafferty, waiting for the doors to open, when we got fed up and went to chill at the Beta house for a while. After I lost about ten bucks at poker and otherwise messed around, we went back to the show, and it was well underway.

The crowd wasn't huge (this is Case...seriously) and we ended up pretty close to the stage. I ended up disappointed not to hear I-76, but they played some other great songs (Baby Got Sauce stands out) and it seemed like the band was having a great time. They called some guys from A Little To The Left back out to jam with them. G. Love came back out for another full-length set after he'd done his normal one, basically jamming on an acoustic guitar. No better way to describe it than "chill."
