To create a firetube, cut a refrigerator box down a long side, roll it up so it's about, maybe a bit over a foot in diameter, and put some small holes in the sides. You get enough long sticks and people to support it the sticks stuck into the holes. It's not a terrible idea to wet the bottom part of it. Build a nice, roaring bonfire, and put the firetube right down on top of it. *wait about five-ten seconds* With any amount of luck, you'll get a spectacular flame shooting out the top of the tube, really a quite wicked effect.

These firetubes are most frequently built at bonfires at Sam's house in the summer.
