11/13/98-Moxy Früvous with someone who was not Jess Klein opening.
(Jess Klein was scheduled to open, we got a random female folk singer
instead.) This trip ended up being huge. I drove to NY, got Liz Oakden,
and we drove to Sam's house. Sam drove us out, because I couldn't drive
after midnight. Also attending was a large delegation from Mansfield/
Wellsboro/etc, including Tom Smith, Roman, Scott Foreman-Murray, Daniel
Hollister, Danny Schmitt, Johanna Schmitt, and Luke Hollister. The show
was excellent, although not quite as sly as my previous Moxy Früvous
concert experience. It was in this pretty small place, that got quite
full, and they kinda asked everyone to sit on the floor, because the
performers were barely elevated, if at all, and they wanted everyone to
be able to see. Our group sat near the back, due to lateish arrival. Moxy
was in good spirits, with a lot of improv (Of course) and some really
sweet covers. Afterwards, the guys were available for autographs, and I
got three of them to sign my Trivial Pursuit card. (Long story) I also
got one autograph on a poster I purchased, along with a shirt and some
really sly stickers.
