Everyone else has one, why can't I?
So, I decided that this would be a great place to toss up some random links. Here they are, in no particular order, and of highly varying importance-
- Google-For almost every single purpose I can think of, by far the sweetest search engine out there. And if you don't happen to be a keyboard junkie (meaning - you don't mind using the mouse) and you use IE, they've got this sweet search bar that rocks the pants off the default thing taking space in the left part of your browser window.
- Slashdot, Ars Technica, HardOCP-I read the first two every day, heading first to Slashdot, reading through the headlines and usually several of the stories. Then over to Ars, check out the headlines, and probably a little time reading the forums, usually the gaming one for some reason. And I'll do that several times a day. (Bonus factoid, stuff we've done has been featured on HardOCP various times.)
- Espn.com-ESPN's page is the other main way I kill time, especially the excellent Page 2 content.
- Salon-Financially shaky, yes, and you have to pay for a lot of their content now, but Salon's free stuff is oftentimes still really cool and interesting.
- College Humor-Look, it's hilarious. Pictures, the Observational Humor column, basically everything. It might not be classy, but it's funny.
- Cockeyed.com-I wish I had this guy's creativity and motivation to do goofy things.
- Centre For the Easily Amused-I've got a little nostalgia for this place, as it was one of the first sites I spent any time at when I got online, back around March 1996. So, if you really need to kill some time, this is the place to be.
- Worms2, No One Lives Forever, Unreal Tournament, Motocross Madness 2 - I haven't been playing as much as I used to, but these games rock.
- The Internet Movie Database-Is there any better way to waste time online than going to the IMDB and searching for the sequel to "I Know What You Did Last Friday the 13th?" Really though, the IMDB never fails to amaze me, with trivia, goofs, and scads of information.
- Cleveland, Williamsport-Check out the weather where I am, whether I'm at school or at home.
- Wraithmaster's Domain-Finally, someone else besides Booga bothered to go out and get their own domain. Jesse's got some sweet Jesse-style content and he's the man with Photoshop (So much more than me, anyway).
- Nethaq.com-It's Jack.
- Elmer Elevator-My good buddy Robert Merkin's page. It's at once distracting, disorganized, discombobulated, and coooool.
- tmbg.org and tmbg.net-The unofficial They Might Be Giants sites. tmbg.net is most notable for having setlists and reviews from a large number of concerts, as well as sometimes having MP3s. tmbg.org hosts the tmbg-list listserv, which is a big deal, and also has the lyrics/chords/interps database.
- theymightbegiants.com and tmbg.com-Official sites of They Might Be Giants.
- FDC-The *other* FDC, that is. Früvous Dot Com is Moxy Früvous's page. If you don't know the groovous Früvous, you should.
