Here are a couple preliminary pics.
Here is one before the paint is all the way done.

A little explanation: I started this all by replacing the Red LED in the back of my mouse with a blue one. Now the blue LED wasn't bright enough and didn't hardly show through the red plastic on the back of the mouse so I decided I needed a clear window. I had some extra plexi-glass laying around and figured "hey why not".
The first problem was getting the hole in the mouse. I did this with a dremel, cutting away unneeded material then used a grinding disc about the size of a quarter (it was like 3/16" thick or so) and reemed it into the hole making it nice and circular.
I had to file down my piece of plexi glass so it would fi in the hole. This took a little bit of time because I wanted to get it right, I just slowly filed it down until it would squeeze into the hole. To hold the plexi-glass in the hole I epoxied the back with clear 5 minute epoxy.
Now to get a nice finish I had to file down the edges of the plexiglass so it lined up with the body of the mouse. While I was doing this I managed to get som nice scratches in the paint on the mouse, meaning I had to paint it. I used Krylon Spray paint, both black and then a few coats of clearcoat.
Other projects I have worked on are Power Cooling and Hardware Baseball.
